If you have an Amex card, you can gain air-mile points and then book flights for free using the points earned. You can make regular purchases on groceries and other expenses that you would normally pay for whilst building up your air miles. 

Also, if you look at national bus services such as Flixbus, you can often find very cheap journeys around Europe. 

How to sightsee for free

You can often find some brilliant things to do when you’re travelling for completely free. You may find that just wandering around the streets of a new city is exciting in itself. This is how you can truly discover a new culture by just observing your surroundings. 

If you want to learn more about the history or culture of a city, you could book a free walking tour. There are usually lots of free walking tours to choose from in most main cities.
